Heat Recovery Using PCM in Decentralised Façade Ventilation

A study of heat recovery in a façade ventilation unit was carried out under laboratory conditions using climate chamber that allowed stable outdoor and indoor to be simulated. The unit, equipped with reversible fan for the exchanger, controlled by an automation control system, designed exchange air room alternating supply exhaust cycles specific durations. Three types exchangers were tested, which filled different phase change materials, order estimate efficiency terms its capability. determined based on temperature 144 setting combinations. best results between 73.56% 76.29% obtained solution exchanger consisting cylinders external diameter 10 mm wall thickness 1 jojoba oil one minute cycle. tests confirmed exchangers, are part fulfil their function allow from pre-heat supplied air. complements existing scientific knowledge material, operating winter work up 5 min.
